International Committee Mid-Year Double Header: (1) The Impact of COVID-19 on International Law Enforcement and (2) American Sanctions Relating to the International Criminal Court<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the CJS Committee on International Criminal Law Mid-Year meeting on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021 from 3:45-515, there will be two short presentations.<\/p>\n

Judith Friedman, a Senior Trial Attorney with the Criminal Division\u2019s Office of International Affairs and winner of Norm Maleng Minister of Justice Award in 2020, will discuss Developments in International Law Enforcement, especially the impact of the Coronavirus”.<\/p>\n

Kristin Smith, Esq., director of the Atrocity Crimes Initiative and Staff Attorney with ABA CJS, will discuss the US sanctions on the ICC and summarize the litigation (two cases: the OSJI v. Trump<\/u> and the just filed Sadat v. Trump<\/u>), as well as relevant ABA\/ ICC Project activities and statements.<\/p>\n
