The sanctions come in response to North Korea\u2019s escalating weapons tests over the past months, including two intercontinental ballistic missile launches in July and a nuclear test in early September.<\/p>\n<p>The new sanctions go significantly further than <a href=\"https:\/\/ielrblog.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/13\/un-security-council-imposes-new-set-of-sanctions-on-north-korea-north-korea-responds-that-it-will-inflict-greatest-pain-on-us\/\">those imposed by the UN Security Council<\/a> earlier this month.
